Flea Control Brisbane Get comfortable at home again.
Fleas jumping from the carpet? Trouble around your pet’s favourite spot? Debugged Pest Control helps you work out where the activity is coming from and arrange treatment for the affected areas, with clear advice for before and after the visit.

Tell us where your pets sleep and where you have noticed fleas. Illustration only.
What have you noticed?
Small insects. A very uncomfortable problem.
Tell us what you have seen and where it happens. Finding the insect is more useful than guessing from itchy skin alone, and helps us recommend the right service.
Small, jumping insects
Adult fleas are small, brown and wingless, with strong jumping legs. If you can get a clear photograph, send it with your enquiry. Mention whether activity is limited to one room or appearing throughout the property.
Scratching and flea dirt
Fleas or dark specks in the coat can be clues. Scratching has other causes too, so ask your vet to assess an uncomfortable pet. Tell us if fleas have already been confirmed and which areas your pet uses.
Activity in a previously quiet room
Fleas can emerge from cocoons when movement signals that a host is nearby. This can explain activity after returning to a vacant property. Let us know how long the home has been empty and whether animals previously lived there.
Not sure whether it is fleas?
You do not need to identify the pest before calling. Describe the insect, the rooms involved and when the problem started. We can discuss the next step without assuming every bite or skin irritation means the property needs flea treatment.
Identification and emergence: Victorian Department of Health flea guide. Pet signs: RSPCA flea advice.
Understanding the life cycle
The fleas you see are only one stage.
Fleas develop through eggs, larvae, pupae and adults. That is why seeing fewer adult fleas straight away does not tell the whole story.
Activity develops out of sight
Eggs can fall from an animal onto bedding and floors. Larvae develop in sheltered places, including carpet and furniture crevices. Where an animal rests helps guide the inspection.
A protected stage can remain
The cocoon protects the developing flea. Treatment may not reach this stage, so newly emerged adults can appear after a visit. Your technician explains what to watch for as the treatment takes effect.
The pet and property both matter
Coordinate the property treatment with veterinary flea care for your animals. Addressing one while overlooking the other can leave the problem continuing. Tell us about every pet in the household when you book.

Your flea treatment
A clear plan for the affected areas
We discuss the activity, access and preparation before work starts. An occupied home, an empty rental and an outdoor pet area can require different arrangements.
Discuss the history and inspect
Show us where you have seen fleas, where pets rest and any areas affected outside. Tell us about previous pest treatments, recent pet treatments and any animal activity beneath the house. We assess the accessible areas before confirming the work.
Agree on the scope and price
We explain which rooms and outdoor areas are proposed for treatment, what preparation is needed and when people and animals can return. Any access limits, extra areas or follow-up arrangements should be clear before you proceed.
Treat the agreed areas
The treatment is selected for the surfaces and activity found. Where appropriate, this may include a registered flea treatment with an insect growth regulator to interrupt immature development. Application follows the product label; not every fabric or outdoor surface is suitable.
Explain aftercare and record the visit
Your service report records the work and recommendations. We explain the cleaning instructions, what activity to monitor and when to contact us. Keep the report handy so any later enquiry can be checked against the treatment and areas covered.
For households with animals
Plan your pet’s flea care alongside the visit.
Our service treats the property. Your vet advises on treatment for the animal.
Read the RSPCA’s pet flea advice →Choose care for each animal
Ask your vet about suitable flea control for every pet, including the timing of doses. Products are not interchangeable between species; some dog flea products are dangerous to cats. Do not use a household surface treatment on an animal.
Tell us about all pets before booking
Mention cats, dogs, birds, small animals and aquariums, as well as any special access needs. We can then discuss the arrangements for the property treatment before the appointment day.
Keep veterinary advice separate from aftercare
Follow your vet’s instructions for the pet and the service report for the property. If your pet remains itchy or develops skin problems, contact the vet rather than assuming another property treatment is the answer.
Make the appointment easier
What to do before and after flea treatment
Your booking instructions and service report take priority over a generic checklist. Tell us if you cannot complete any preparation so we can discuss it before arrival.
Before we arrive
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, furniture crevices and floor edges; empty the collected material into a sealed bag for disposal.
- Wash pet bedding and washable covers according to their care labels.
- Pick up loose floor items so the agreed areas are accessible. Ask before moving heavy furniture.
- Discuss food bowls, toys, aquariums and the arrangements for people and pets during treatment.
- Tell us about planned carpet cleaning and any flea sprays or foggers already used.
After the visit
- Keep people and animals out until the stated re-entry conditions are met. Follow ventilation and drying instructions.
- Resume vacuuming at the time and frequency your technician specifies.
- Check before washing or steam-cleaning treated surfaces.
- Continue your pet’s flea care as directed by the vet.
- Record where you see fleas and whether activity is reducing. Contact us if it persists beyond the period discussed or gets worse.
Seeing a flea afterwards does not automatically mean treatment has failed.
Protected stages can emerge later, and the response varies between properties. Follow the aftercare plan and keep us informed. We assess ongoing activity before recommending more treatment; there is no single eradication deadline that fits every infestation.

Moving out or handing over?
End-of-lease flea treatment, with the details organised.
Give us the handover date early so we can discuss the booking, access and paperwork.
Ask for an end-of-lease quote →Tell us what has been requested
Send the treatment request from your property manager, along with the address and any areas they have specified. Mention whether fleas are currently present. This helps us quote the requested work accurately.
Coordinate cleaning and access
Let us know when furniture will be removed and when carpet cleaning is booked. We will discuss the order of work and access arrangements, including how the technician will enter if you have already moved out.
Keep the service record
We provide a service report for your records or property manager. Confirm any particular paperwork requirements when booking. Treatment and a report do not guarantee a bond refund or determine who is responsible for the cost.
Look beyond the carpet
Outdoor areas can be part of the problem too.
Your quote should reflect the places involved, rather than assuming every lawn or garden needs to be sprayed.
Kennels and sheltered spots
Tell us if your pet sleeps on a veranda, in a kennel or in a shaded part of the yard. We can assess whether those locations need to be included in the proposed service.
Under the house and decks
Mention activity in subfloor areas or beneath a deck when requesting a quote. Access and working conditions affect what can be inspected and treated. Do not enter a confined area to look for fleas yourself.
No pets at home? Tell us that too.
Previous occupants’ pets or visiting animals can be relevant. If you have noticed rodents or animals sheltering around the building, let us know so the possible source is considered alongside flea treatment.
Common questions
Flea treatment, explained.
Practical answers to help you organise the visit and know what to expect.
Ask about your flea problem →How much does flea treatment cost?
The price depends on the property, affected areas and access. Tell us whether the problem is indoors, outdoors or both, and whether this is an end-of-lease request. We confirm the scope and price before work begins; a general pest starting price should not be taken as a flea quote.
Do you treat my dog or cat as well?
No. This booking is for the property. Arrange flea care for your animals with your vet and let us know the timing, so the home treatment and pet care can be coordinated.
How long will we need to leave the property?
That depends on the products, application and conditions. We explain the required absence, drying and ventilation arrangements for your booking. Do not use a generic time estimate to decide when children or pets can return.
Will one visit get rid of every flea?
We cannot promise that for every property. The extent of the infestation, protected life stages and ongoing sources affect the result. Ask what review or follow-up is proposed and what is included in your quote.
Should I use a flea bomb before you arrive?
Check with us before adding another product. Tell us what has already been used, where and when. This helps us plan the visit and give you preparation advice without layering treatments unnecessarily.
Do the carpets need to be professionally cleaned?
Not automatically. Tell us if professional cleaning is already planned or requested for your tenancy, and we can discuss its timing. Follow the preparation instructions supplied for your booking.
Can you provide an end-of-lease service report?
Yes. We can provide a report recording the service for your property manager or landlord. Send any particular treatment or paperwork request before booking so we can confirm what we can provide.
Is there a warranty or a free return visit?
Any warranty period, conditions and included follow-up are confirmed for the service you book. If activity continues, contact us with the treatment date and affected locations so we can review the situation. A free return visit is not assumed.
